Balance - How do you really achieve it?
Apparently I
was asked this question recently how do I balance everything whatever it is
work- life balance, financial balance, health, well being etc.?
You have
always heard about & tried to have work-life balance but never succeeded
& then you get lost in daily duties of life & the word (work-life balance
goes on the side). Ever thought why did it not succeed?
The answer
is below:
Balance does not come through your
brain/mind or in other words it’s not part of the brain. Balance is a state of
being inside you. If you are imbalanced inside it will show everywhere. Job,
health, finances, Career, Relationship etc.
Seems strange continue reading:
Remember the
last time when you working on a project that you loved passionately & you
forgot to keep the track of time. Or remember the last time you were playing or
watching the game & you forgot again the time. Why did this happen? It happened because your brain was trying to
derive pleasure of the project or the game you were playing & you lost the
track of time. Even though you remember words like work-life balance in your
brain (poor thing what it has done) but since you were so engrossed in watching
the game the words went on a sidelines.
Only when
you did it too much & suddenly you realized you had to go to restroom as
your body was asking you to go to restroom & then you realized it: oh man
how much time I have spent on the game I was watching or the project I was
working. Let me go to sleep now.
Its only
when you get the feeling (Not emotions(feeling as in the same feeling a
fisherman gets that there are fishes in this area of lake) that seems like I
have done it too much let me retract now, only then you realize that you have
done something in excess or basically you are in an imbalanced state.
If you are too much identified with
your brain the
balance is already tipped over inside
you (Your external reality is directly proportional to internal reality.
Remember the first post I wrote, If you are imbalanced inside it will show
outside). It will up in every area of life. Imbalance means between your
heart, mind & life-energy (Intelligence which speaks through heart (not
emotions)) you are more inclined towards brain for anything & everything).
This imbalance shows outside in your career, finances (where you purchase too
much sometimes or you go in debt), health (where you start deriving pleasure
out of food), Relationships (where one becomes cling y/needy etc.) Whatever is
going inside you will show up outside.
Asking a
mind to balance is like asking a cop to catch a crook when the cop himself is
the problem.
If one has
sufficient distance from the brain, you will automatically get in a balanced
state. You don’t have to even think about anything else to create that distance.
All you have to do is Meditation in its simplest forms. Once you start doing it
everything will come in place of balance automatically.
When you have balance inside you
there will be no question of thinking about work-life balance since you will
immediately feel when you are going out of balance. Every other area of life
will automatically come in balance without having to give it a single thought
in mind.
